Abstract

The article deals with the problems of sociogenesis and the creation of money. The author contends that existing theory of money is incapable of accounting for some theoretical matters and real facts. For the reason that money is a dual phenomenon social and economic it is proposed to investigate the origin of money on the base of priority of social relations. In the work, the essence of social relations is discovered and the process of creation of money is retraced. The money is considered as symbols imposed by the higher stratum of the society.
