Abstract

Physical education is an important contributor to the development of personal values, social and personal behaviours and attitudes among youths. Physical education shall be the premise for establishing an independent exercising routine and lifestyle. Great interest in physical education is expected because of its multidimensional benefits: affective, emotional, health strengthening, physical aspect, development of motile functions needed in performing one’s profession, recreational, or even just for building the ability to exercise independently. Teachers play an important role in motivating students and developing positive attitudes towards exercising. They must understand and stimulate students’ motives and expectations in physical education, and find optimal organizational, financial, and methodical solutions
