Abstract

This study explores the strategic development of Plumbuita – Steaua Rosie – Petricani area in Bucharest, with an eye to reveal the strategic objectives, policies and development priorities. The findings of this study reveal that the strategic development of this area in Bucharest is possible if a coherent strategy is to be implemented, taking into account the economic, social, and environmental problems that may be solved in the near future. The study was carried out using a wide range of sources from the national and international literature, as well as local experiences in urban management and planning the strategic development of urban areas. The findings of this study may be used for further research in the field of strategic development of cities.
