Minimalism As A Form Of Everyday Philosophy

Abstract

The article is devoted to the philosophical analysis of minimalism as a form of everyday philosophy. The author considers philosophical and worldview ideas which are the basis for minimalism as a way of life, analyzes minimalism in the context of the problems of consumer society, the relationship of philosophical way of life, everyday life and philosophical discourse. The article discusses the basic principles of minimalism as a form of everyday philosophy that contains appeals to Eastern philosophical discourse: the simplification of their vital needs, the principle of wu wei, getting rid of the illusion of control and strict planning. Minimalism is seen as a form of "self-care" and a form of spiritual practice of a modern man.
