Abstract

An important drawback of the theory and practice of the current model of development is the absoluteness of economic growth at the expense of solving social and environmental problems. In the world attempts continue to be made to find new ways of development. Over the past 3-4 years, the world community has developed a concept of its development in the 21st century which is mainly based on sustainability. It was reflected in the documents of UN conferences, supported by all countries which is a key moment for future. Here we should highlight the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (Sustainable Development Goals) (2015), the fight against climate change (2015), the transition to sustainable development through promotion of a “green” economy (2012). In these theses, we consider two critical aspects of sustainable development: Sustainable Development Goals / indicators and the investment challenge for achieving these sustainable goals.
