Abstract

The most important tool for promoting the ESG-concept is a social investment, when the decision to finance a project is made based on what social effect its implementation is to have. The article attempts to determine the potential of social investment through an assessment of its relevance and significance in the investment environment in the world and in Russia. The successful regional practices of social investment are also presented and investigated.
