Military Conflict In Ukraine: A New Phase Of The Global Confrontation Between Russia And The Western World[Военный Конфликт На Украине: Новая Фаза Глобальной Конфронтации России И Западного Мира]

Introduction. After the introduction of the military contingent of the Russian Federation into the Ukraine in February 24, 2022, political disagreements between our country and the so-called “collective West”, primarily the part that makes up the NATO military bloc, intensified. Confrontation with the mentioned bloc is not something new for the Russian Federation, since it has been noted in one form or another throughout the entire period of its existence, however, recently it has been steadily increasing, which raises well-known concerns regarding the further development of the current situation. Methods. When working on this article, the authors applied the most relevant approaches to the study and synthesis of information materials, and used numerous general scientific methods for studying information, including comparative and analytical. Analysis. In order to be able to predict possible scenarios of the ways out, it is necessary to understand the origins of the mentioned confrontation, to clearly see the material and political resources available to the Western world in general and its North Atlantic Alliance in particular. Results. The presented article contains an analysis of information materials obtained from open sources and aims to study the genesis and current state of the Ukrainian political crisis, which has entered a phase of rapid escalation.
