Música para el desarrollo sostenible: el caso de Bolivia

Abstract

A pesar de la gran diversidad y riqueza que caracteriza a la música boliviana, la percepción general es que la industria musical boliviana es incipiente y sufre de grandes carencias que afectan su capacidad de crear y trascender dentro y fuera de sus fronteras. La falta de datos estadísticos y estudios de línea de base sobre este sector dificulta el análisis científico de su situación y la correspondiente generación de recomendaciones para potenciarlo. Mediante un análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo pionero, basado en datos estadísticos e información relevante de fuentes nacionales e internacionales, el presente estudio busca ofrecer una descripción más objetiva de la situación prepandemia del profesional boliviano de la música y de la industria musical en Bolivia en su conjunto. A partir de dicho análisis, propone los lineamientos de un Plan Nacional de Música para el Desarrollo en Bolivia, instrumento de política pública valioso en un contexto en el que un número creciente de países del mundo vienen asimilado con éxito los conceptos de “economía naranja” e “industrias creativas”.
