Estimación de la manutención infantil para hogares monoparentales en las ciudades capitales de Bolivia

Abstract

El estudio ofrece una metodología que combina el enfoque marginal y per cápita-promedio para la estimación de la manutención infantil. Se utiliza la encuesta de presupuestos familiares 2015-2016 para los hogares que están por encima de la línea de pobreza moderada de cinco ciudades capitales y la metrópoli de La Paz, en Bolivia. Según los resultados, la manutención infantil mensual se encuentra entre Bs. 1,045 (Sucre) y Bs. 1,509 (Trinidad) en hogares con un niño en educación pública. Si la educación es privada, este cálculo asciende a Bs 1,570 (La Paz-metrópoli) y Bs 1,959 (Trinidad). En la metrópoli de La Paz, la manutención infantil representa el 67% y 87% del salario mínimo nacional cuando el niño estudia en una escuela fiscal y privada, respectivamente. Se evidencia que estos porcentajes son superiores al mínimo del 20% que establece el Código de las Familias y del Proceso Familiar (Ley N°603, 2014).
