Data in financial institutions

Abstract

Financial institutions are clearly heavily dependent on transmission and storage of data and are likely to become even more so in the future. This article considers some of the issues faced by financial institutions with regard to its treatment. For reasons of practicality I have limited my analysis to providing only an overview of what is a vast and complex subject matter.
