L’Impact De L’Application D’Une Ethique Bancaire Sur La Diversification Des Banques Islamiques

Abstract

Dans ce papier, nous nous interrogeons si l’application d’une éthique bancaire édictée par des critères extra-financiers, peut influencer le choix des institutions financières islamiques de se diversifier ou au contraire de se concentrer. Pour ce faire, nous analysons quatre types de diversification (diversifications sectorielle, diversification géographique, diversification d’activité et diversification des modes de financement) dans le contexte islamique et les relions avec les principes et orientations défendus par ces banques. L’analyse de ces différents types de diversification a fait apparaitre qu’il existe un vrai décalage entre les pratiques des institutions financières islamiques et les principes éthiques défendus par les économistes et les jurisconsultes, spécialistes de cette industrie islamique. Ce décalage s’explique essentiellement par le choix de ces institutions d’imiter et de s’aligner sur les pratiques conventionnelles et la recherche du profit à court terme.
