Caracterización de los movimientos urbanos ambientales vinculados a la gestión del agua. Estrategias sociales por el acceso al agua potable en Tandil, Argentina

Abstract

La protesta social se caracteriza por una trama de esfuerzos coordinados y de nuevas formas de organización en red que enfatizan códigos culturales y roles identitarios a nivel comunitario. Estas formas de movilización y organización llaman la atención de los medios, la opinión pública, pero al mismo tiempo estimulan el pensamiento académico con enfoques diferentes como el de los nuevos movimientos sociales (NMS). Distintas formas de organización social han tenido presencia en la última década en la ciudad de Tandil, Argentina. Algunas de estas movilizaciones son debidas a los efectos ambientales de la actividad minera, la instalación de actividades nocivas, etc. En particular, el trabajo caracteriza las luchas locales por acceso al agua potable a partir del análisis historiográfico y documental. Ello permitió detectar analogías conceptuales con otros procesos similares comprendidos globalmente en los denominados NMS.
