Abstract

Spanish abstract. Objetivo. Proponer y ensayar una metodología de análisis de la información de los delitos de alto impacto en el Estado de Morelos, México en el periodo 2012-2013. Metodología. La información básica proviene del Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública de la Secretaría de Gobernación para los siguientes ocho delitos: secuestro, homicidio doloso, lesión dolosa con arma blanca, robo común a transeúntes sin violencia, robo común a transeúntes con violencias, robo común de vehículos sin violencia, robo común de vehículos con violencia y, extorsión. Se utilizaron las proyecciones de población del Consejo Nacional de Población y, el catálogo de municipios del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía. Resultados: Se calcularon las tasas de delitos por cada 100 mil habitantes. Se ha logrado hacer mejoras en el proceso de automatización, en particular en la codificación de las variables que permiten la integración con otras fuentes de información, así como en la generación de las tasas. La base de datos resultante fue utilizada para el mapeo, del cual se presenta un ejemplo. Conclusiones: Se pudieron detectar procesos que no habían sido planteados en los diversos esquemas desarrollados y se requiere una revisión de los tipos de mapas. English abstract. Objective. Propose and test a methodology for analyzing the information from high-impact crimes in the State of Morelos, Mexico in the period 2012-2013. Methodology. The basic information comes from the Executive Secretariat of the National System of Public Security of the Ministry of the Interior for the next eight crimes: kidnapping, homicide, malicious wounding with a knife, common robbery without violence bystanders, common robbery passersby with violence, theft common vehicles without violence common vehicle theft with violence and extortion. Population projections of the National Population Council and the catalog of municipalities from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography were used. Results: crime rates were calculated per 100 thousand inhabitants. Improvements in automation, coding and rates generation were implemented that allow integration with other sources of information. The resulting database was used for mapping. An example of mapping is presented. Conclusions: We were able to detect processes that had not been considered in a number of developed schemes and a review of the types of maps is required.
