Déjà Vu? Crisis De Empleo Y Reformas Laborales En España

Abstract

En este artículo se comparan las crisis de empleo de 1991-1994 y 2007- 2010 así como las reformas laborales llevadas a cabo en 1994 y 2010. El objetivo es comprobar si la evolución de la ocupación y el paro durante la actual crisis está siendo similar a la anterior, lo que puede ayudar a predecir la evolución futura de ambas variables. Además, la comparación de los cambios de la normativa laboral pretende arrojar luz sobre la posible influencia de las reformas en los resultados agregados del mercado de trabajo así como valorar si éstas pueden conseguir reducir el elevado grado de sensibilidad del empleo a las variaciones de la producción, una característica distintiva de la economía española frente al resto de países de la Unión Europea.
