La paradoja del cuidado: necesario pero invisible

Abstract

En este artículo se reconstruye el itinerario recorrido en las últimas décadas por el pensamiento feminista en relación al trabajo doméstico y de cuidados, tanto desde una dimensión conceptual como de una dimensión aplicada. Se trata de observar cómo ambas perspectivas convergen en las dificultades de conceptualizar, medir y valorar el trabajo de cuidados, en particular su dimensión subjetiva que es la que permanece más invisible. Como consecuencia lógica se apunta la urgente necesidad de desarrollar nuevas metodologías que permitan visualizar estos elementos de difícil cuantificación e integrarlos en los análisis económicos.
