Romania prezinta o serie de avantaje competitive virtuale in domeniul serviciilor de transport. Daca ne referim numai la componenta dotarii cu factori, trebuie sa avem in vedere cel putin urmatoarele aspecte: situarea geografica si in conditiile actuale rolul in retelele intra si transeuropene de transport; interesul mediului de afaceri european si international pentru resursele de afaceri ale Romaniei; mana de lucru disponibila.
