Desarrollo del parque industrial en el gran puntarenas: Un análisis de ventajas competitivas y de clima empresarial para las inversiones industriales en el territorio

Abstract

Puerto Caldera se convertirá en muy corto plazo en uno de los principales ejes de desarrollo del país, lo cual significará enormes oportunidades de crecimiento económico y una mayor demanda de empleo para lo que hemos denominado el Gran Puntarenas. Las expectativas de crecimiento prevén el desarrollo de actividades industriales que se localizarán en el área de estudio con las implicaciones que esto tiene sobre la demanda intersectorial de recursos, infraestructura y mano de obra. Los crecientes niveles de actividad económica que se proyectan en la región promoverán la creación de parques industriales y, consecuentemente, de distritos industriales con economías de aglomeración especializadas. El desarrollo del sector industrial en la región también demandará mejoras en la infraestructura y en la dotación de servicios básicos, como también de una mano de obra más calificada.
