¿Cómo construir una matriz de riesgo operativo?

Abstract

El artículo trata de explicar qué es el riesgo operativo en una empresa financiera o bancaria, cómo se identifica y se cuantifica, cómo se controla y las medidas utilizadas para mitigar o eliminarlo. El instrumento para conocer este tipo de riesgo, es la construcción de una matriz, que permite identificar el riesgo operativo, con los niveles de riesgo (viabilidad e impacto) con la exposición asociada del riesgo operativo. Así mismo se pone un ejemplo de matriz operativo, así como sus resultados. Por último se proponen recomendaciones para la administración del riesgo en las empresas financieras o bancarias.
