Capital intelectual e innovación: una sinergia necesaria

Abstract

Muchos estudios se han hecho para medir el capital intelectual de las empresas, pero pocos demuestran su relación con la creación de ventajas competitivas que se transformen en utilidades. Existe el convencimiento general de que la sobrevivencia de las compañías y su capacidad de generar utilidades están muy vinculadas a su habilidad de reinventarse. Afortunadamente la innovación no proviene necesariamente de altas inversiones en investigación, su fuente principal es el capital intelectual que mejora los productos y servicios y la eficiencia en el uso de los recursos. En el presente trabajo se ha recopilado información sobre el capital intelectual y estudios anteriores sobre factores de éxito relacionados con la innovación. Convertir el capital intelectual en una ventaja competitiva y las innovaciones en utilidades debe ser la meta de toda empresa.
