Percepción De Los Usuarios Del Servicio De Transporte Tren, Costa Rica, Mayo De 2012

Abstract

El alto crecimiento de la flota vehicular y la falta de ampliación en la infraestructura vial en Costa Rica no solo generaron la política de reactivación del servicio de transporte de personas por tren; sino la necesidad creciente de ampliar las rutas. Este artículo es producto de un estudio de la percepción de los usuarios en una ruta específica de servicio de tren que conecta a dos provincias: San José-Heredia. Se entrevistan a 396 personas usuarias del servicio que en términos generales evidencian una calificación muy satisfactoria, aunque demandan la ampliación de rutas y viajes, además de una mejora en la infraestructura de acceso.
