Abstract

(It depends heavily on employees how and to what extent CSR will be implemented into the daily working live and corporate behaviour. This is all the more true for small and medium-sized companies (SME). It is therefore surprising, that the processes and outcomes at the micro-level have only received scant attention within CSR-research. In view of this a qualitative study among employees of a medium-sized company was carried out. The findings are in line with other studies, showing that CSR has positive outcomes. However, it became apparent that the perceived or assumed authenticity of CSR seems to be a crucial prerequisite for these outcomes.)
