Aspectos Fiscales De La Emisión Provincial De Cuasimonedas En El Noreste De La Argentina

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza los aspectos fiscales de las economías regionales en el noreste de la Argentina antes y después de la emisión de cuasimonedas. Se pone énfasis en las características de Corrientes y Chaco, dos de las provincias que más sufrieron el impacto de la crisis argentina de 2001, la más grave en la historia del país por sus consecuencias en las condiciones de vida, empleo y pobreza. Mediante un análisis de las finanzas públicas provinciales se brindan explicaciones de las diferencias de cotización que tuvieron las monedas provinciales entre ellas y en relación con la moneda nacional. Se extraen lecciones de política monetaria con objeto de evitar nuevos episodios de fragmentación monetaria en países de la región.
