Abstract

Los arreglos productivos locales son espacios de producción sectorialmente y localmente compartidos en los que se establecen relaciones fuertes entre los agentes que en ellos participan; en ellos se generan sinergias que propician la obtención de ventajas competitivas y favorecen el aprendizaje colectivo. Por ello, el análisis de las condiciones de su desarrollo productivo encuentra un campo particularmente fértil al estudiar su dinámica. Este trabajo revisa dos casos en que se aplica la metodología específica para identificar concentraciones geográficas densas de actividades productivas conexas, las que constituyen el paso inicial para la existencia de los arreglos productivos locales. La identificación se realizó en los estados de Hidalgo y Jalisco, y permitió detectar que en ambos los efectos de la centralidad derivados de las zonas urbanas es fundamental.
