El concepto de desarrollo de Sen y su vinculación con la Educación

Abstract

Uno de los conceptos más controvertidos es el de Desarrollo de un país. La literatura no presenta un consenso al respecto, por lo que es posible encontrar variadas definiciones, en algunos casos incompatibles. En este trabajo se presenta un concepto de Desarrollo particular, el expuesto por Amartya Sen, y distintas consideraciones acerca del mismo realizadas por el propio autor, para reflexionar acerca del rol de la educación en el proceso de Desarrollo. A modo de ejemplo se citan brevemente características distintivas de los países Latinoamericanos a fin de derivar, bajo el marco conceptual elegido, algunas consideraciones de política específicas de Desarrollo.
