Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como propósito, explicar como para el caso del Estado de Michoacán, de alguna manera el modelo neoliberal implementado mediante la llamada economía de mercado en las últimas décadas ha repercutido negativamente deprimiendo aceleradamente el bienestar social de la población de esta entidad federativa. El autor reflexiona acerca de la necesidad de obtener la soberanía y la seguridad alimentaría a nivel nacional, no solo apoyada en lograr un volumen suficiente de alimentos para satisfacer las necesidades nacionales, sino también impulsando la capacidad productiva del sector rural y sus actuales niveles de bienestar.
