Abstract

La lenteja, como muchos de los 195 cultivos que forman parte del patrón de cultivos nacional no ha representado para los tomadores de decisiones en el sector agropecuario un producto de importancia estratégica; este caso se repite con muchos de los productos del patrón de cultivos nacional. A nivel macro "no pintan", pero en el ámbito regional definen la vida de numerosas familias campesinas. La autora ejemplifica con este caso los impactos directos que ha tenido la política agrícola mexicana, de la última década, en el desarrollo de esta actividad económica del sector primario y concluye precisando que existe un amplio margen de maniobra para la intervención Estatal en co-gestión con los productores agrícolas y campesinos de la región para impulsar su desarrollo.
