Abstract

El objetivo principal que persiguen los autores es el de explorar como lo local-global esta dando pie a nuevas configuraciones regionales. Precisan la evolución de la conformación regional desde diferentes escuelas y además abordan los efectos que ha provocado la globalización en el territorio. Destacan la importancia que para las regiones tiene la existencia de un marco con una economía de mercado abierta y competitiva donde la globalización emerge como un fenómeno ambivalente y polifacético.
