Modelo de equilibrio general para el turismo nacional en Mexico

Abstract

Se formula un modelo de equilibrio general de corto plazo (precios fijos) para dimensionar el peso del sector turismo en Mexico y analizar el efecto de choques exogenos como es el caso de la influenza AH1N1. El modelo considera 17 sectores productivos, 10 tipos de familias diferenciadas por el decil de ingreso, 2 factores productivos (trabajo y capital) y 10 bienes de consumo. El modelo se calibra usando una matriz de contabilidad social de la economia mexicana para el ano 2004 y la Cuenta Satelite del Turismo. De acuerdo con el modelo, el multiplicador del gasto en turismo nacional es 2.79. Esto significa que por cada peso gastado en turismo, 1.79 pesos mas son generados en la economia.
