Analisis de economias rurales mediante el modelo de hogares agricolas bajo un equilibrio general

Abstract

Esta investigacion muestra los resultados de la evaluacion de algunas politicas agropecuarias en una comunidad rural, usando el modelo de equilibrio general computable rural (MEGC rural), programado en el Sistema de Modelado Algebraico General (GAMS). Se simularon tres tipos de politicas: eliminacion del Programa de Apoyo al Ingreso Agropecuario (PROCAMPO), el aumento en el precio de venta de los productos agricolas y el de los productos ganaderos. En lo que respecta al ingreso total de los hogares, los resultados sugieren que una politica de transferencia monetaria directa a los hogares agricolas surte mas efecto que una politica de productividad agropecuaria. Se concluye que la metodologia del MEGC rural es una herramienta muy util de analisis de economias rurales respecto de otras metodologias, dentro del enfoque de modelos multisectoriales.
