    Abstract

[eng] The Social Scheme Of The 1982 Nationalizations . jean-Charles Asselain. The social content of the recent French nationalizations is meant to depart significantly from the 1946 model. The new public enterprises will receive no specific, privileged statute. The last ten years' debute (since the 1972 « Programme commun ») have centered on the problems of workers' participation at upper and lower levels of management. The final setting up, however, has been postponed until the passing of a new law specially designed to « democratize » thé public sector. The traditiqnal tripartite system of management still stands, but two major changes are forthcoming : the representatives of employees to the board of directors are now to be elected directly, and workshop or department councils will be established, which will necessarily involve far-reaching consequences for the trade unions' status, functions and power.
