Abstract

[fre] Une étude récente en Midi-Pyrénées permet d'analyser les progrès en cours dans la maîtrise de cette nouvelle technologie chez les agriculteurs et d'identifier les obstacles auxquels se heurte le processus d'appropriation. Enjeu important, la diffusion de l'informatique de gestion dans les exploitations agricoles, largement tributaire de l'intervention d'acteurs institutionnels, s'inscrit aussi dans la tradition paysanne des groupes d'entraide et dans les pratiques de coopération. De nouveaux réseaux de sociabilité se constituent, accentuant les différenciations parmi les agriculteurs. La recherche dont les résultats sont présentés dans cet article a bénéficié d'un financement conjoint du CNRS-PIRTTEM et de la Région Midi-Pyrénées. [eng] Adopting and using computer technology :the case of farmers in the south west of France. These study analyses the process of adopting and using computer technology among farmers in the South West of France. The diffusion of computer technology is an important issue. It depends of institutional actors but it is also supported by traditional local groups for mutual-aid and cooperation. Some new social networks appear and increase social différenciation among farmers... The research project have received a grant from the CNRS- PIRTTEM and from Region Midi-Pyrénées Council.
