Abstract

[eng] According to the last poll made by BVA-Agrimédia, 105 000 Farmers in more than 25 acres farm estates are « Ouest-France »'s steady readers. 97,2 % of them, first of all, read the agricultural page written by 16 specialised reporters and 50 stringers. But what kind of reading do they do of it and what kind of service(s) do they expect in the future ? . « Ouest-France » has started a program of surveys upon three years, that has led to use an original tool ; the annotated questionning after reading (a prolonged half-conducted interview building up again day's reading). There, the reading of « Ouest-France » appears as a dynamic and intricated practice, both useful and pleasant, both specialised and global, both socialy valorizing and with a pratical goal. Agricultural readers appropriate first « their » professional page but, paradoxicaly, wish the newspaper becomes the intermediary between them and the rest of society.
