Abstract

[eng] The adult education policy in France may hardly respond to farmers' needs in marginal rural areas. This paper makes three kinds of suggestions to conceive a suitable adult education for marginal zones. . 1.An adult education policy will be only an accompanying factor of an extension policy mobilizing sufficient resources. . 2. The adult education objectives have to be distinguished according to the many kinds of farmers : middle class farmers, poor farmers, part time farmers, neo rural population. . 3. Adult education must take into account the community dimension of any extension project.
