Abstract

[fre] Le développement de l' alcool-carburant d'origine sucrière devrait renforcer considérablement la mise en place des quotas d'exportation par l'Accord International sur le Sucre. La valorisation des sous-produits du sucre et de l'alcool, ainsi que les possibilités d'achat du sucre par l'industrie chimique, devrait entraîner une libéralisation des régimes sucriers et donc réduire les causes d'instabilité des prix mondiaux. [eng] The development of sugar gasohol should greatly help the International Sugar Agreement to establish the export quotas. The greater value attached to sugar and alcohol by-products as well as the possibilities of purchase of sugar by the chemical industry should involve a liberalization of sugar policies and thus reduce the causes of world price instability.
