Abstract

[fre] Réflexion introductive à l'activité d'un groupe de discussion et de recherche. Le département, unité commode par la disponibilité des statistiques, est-il assez homogène pour des études rurales ? La réponse varie suivant les départements, les questions, les époques. [eng] An introductory reflexion for a discussion and research group. The "département" is a convenient unit of analysis since many statistical data are available at that level. Is it homogeneous enough for rural studies ? The answer varies according to "départements", themes, periods of time.
