La mise en valeur protégée des paysages ruraux wallons

Abstract

[fre] Les paysages ruraux wallons se banalisent et se dégradent sous les effets de l'urbanisation et, pour une part, sous l'action de l'agriculture mécanique et chimique. Les espaces les plus beaux et les plus intéressants méritent d'être sauvegardés, mais sans constituer une charge pour l'agriculture. Des exemples concrets de l'interpénétration des exigences d'une agriculture moderne et de la protection de l'environnement existent, entre autres l'inventaire, l'évaluation et l'aménagement des sites et paysages dans le cadre des remembrements ruraux wallons. [eng] Under the influence of urbanization and to some extent of mechanical and chemical agriculture, rural landscapes in Walloon areas of Belgium are deteriorating and losing their original features. The most beautiful and interestings spots should be safeguarded without imposing a burden on agriculture. Within the framework of land consolidation (remembrement) programmes, modern agriculture and landscape protection can be reconciled through proper inventory, appraisal and landscaping work, as shown by concrete examples.
