Abstract

[eng] In the more highly developed economies of the world, the years since the end of the second world war have seen the emergence of a new economic infra-structure : the agro-food system. The agriculture of Quebec has not escaped this transformation from its historical subsistence farming into the new integrated complex of production, processing and distribution. . The change in economic structure has given rise to problems of power relations end decision-making responsabilises within the system. Quebec has chosen an intermediate formula between socialism and free marketing. This cannot be realized without difficulties and the democratic process involved is explained in this article.
