The C.A.P. involves a set of arrangements ill suited to british needs and suggests that in an enlarged Community the pooling of power may frustrate the legitimate political interests of the U.K. . Finally the paper discussed four economic problems created by the Common Agricultural Policy for Britain ; stress on the balance of payments, an addition to existing inflationary pressures, a loss of national income and the need to make substantial changes in the British agricultural industry.
