Abstract

[fre] En 2005-2006, la Commission européenne et le CESR vont redéfinir la législation qui régit l’industrie de la gestion d’actifs. Les questions qui se posent sont les suivantes : quels sont les enjeux pour la gestion d’actifs en Europe ? Dans quelle direction va-t-elle se développer ? Cet article tente d’y apporter quelques réponses. Dans la première section, l’auteur examine la demande et ses évolutions récentes ; ensuite, la deuxième section aborde certains problèmes réglementaires liés à l’absence d’un Marché unique pour cette industrie et, enfin, il envisage quelques développements possibles en matière de régulation. . Classification JEL : G23, G28, O52 [eng] Asset management’s challenges in Europe . In 2005-2006, the European Commission and the CESR will redefine the asset management’s legislation. So this work raises some questions : challenges for asset management in Europe ? Where is it going to develop ? This article tries to answer these questions. In the first part, the author deals with the demand and its recent evolutions. The second part presents regulation’s problems without a European Single market in asset management. This article presents at last possible regulation’s developments. . JEL classification : G23, G28, O52
