Abstract

[eng] Asset management : citius, altius, fortius ? . This article deals with the irrepressible rise of asset management. Authors explain its crucial role in economy’s financing and households’ property. They quickly describe the European market’s dynamism and the leadership from France and Luxembourg in management of investment funds. Their analysis concludes that the demand of share funds would increase because of households’ needs of long term investment. . JEL classification : G1, G23, G24 [fre] Cet article décrit l’irrésistible ascension de la gestion d’actifs pour compte de tiers. Les auteurs reviennent ainsi sur son rôle crucial dans le financement de l’économie et dans le patrimoine des ménages. Ils décrivent rapidement le dynamisme du marché européen de fonds d’investissement, en insistant sur le leadership de la France et du Luxembourg en matière de gestion de fonds d’investissement. Leur analyse les amène à conclure que la demande de fonds actions ou orientés actions devrait se confirmer compte tenu des besoins des ménages en matière de placements longs. .
