Abstract

. Classification JEL : F36, G21, G28, G34, G38 [eng] A pragmatic approach to build the banking Europe : the case of retail banking . European institutions don’t play a direct role on the European banking reorganization, even if the rules about firms’ concentrations give significant influence to the European Commission. Apart from these rules, the Commission, with relevant legal laws, can favour cross-border activities in the retail banking sector and contribute towards openness as useful for banks as for their customers. This article presents a pragmatic harmonisation which allows us to build the banking and financial Europe. . JEL classification : F36, G21, G28, G34, G38
