Abstract

[eng] National accounts in the face of transformations in finance and in accounting . The standard system of national accounts in its current version was developed during a lengthy period of discussion between 1985 and 1992. With a new version under preparation, the time is right to re-examine unanswered or poorly resolved questions, to tackle new issues and to develop ways of handling new or modified institutions, instruments and behaviours as well as evolving societal issues. This article also discusses the development of new accounting standards. . . Classification JEL : M41
