[eng] The mutual firms’ specificities in the insurance sector . This interview of Roger Belot, Chairman of the Maif, deals with the future of the mutual insuring in France and in Europe. Roger Belot presents competitive advantages of mutual companies over capital stock companies, in comparison with the European rules. Besides, he informs us about the strategies that mutual insurance companies can envisage to increase their presence on the European market. . JEL classifications : G22, L2 [fre] Cette interview de Roger Belot, Président directeur général de la Maif, revient sur l’avenir du mutualisme en France et en Europe, en particulier dans le secteur des assurances. Roger Belot nous présente son point de vue quant aux atouts des entreprises mutuelles face à la concurrence des sociétés d’assurance classiques, face à la réglementation européenne dictée par Bruxelles.
