Abstract

[fre] Cet article expose le point de vue de l’auteur sur la question de l’importance de la parité euro-dollar et sur celle de l’impact de la monnaie unique sur l’investissement étranger en Europe. Au-delà de leurs aspects techniques, ces deux questions renvoient aux doutes relatifs aux conséquences internationales de la place de plus en plus importante que tient l’euro aujourd’hui. Selon l’auteur, la création de l’euro ne constitue pas une menace sérieuse sur la stabilité du système monétaire international. En effet, les arguments des défenseurs de la thèse inverse, soit « l’argument de l’ouverture », celui « de portefeuille » et « l’argument hégémonique », peuvent être mis en échec. .
