Abstract

[fre] La notion d’exclusion bancaire et financière doit d’abord être précisée : elle peut se définir comme un processus progressif de mise à l’écart du lien financier, depuis l’absence de compte, de moyens de paiement ou encore d’accès à un crédit de première nécessité. Cet article se propose de reprendre des éléments d’une l’étude réalisée par le CREP en 1996 sur les « épargnants modestes ». Les informations recensées par cette étude permettent une première approche sur l’accès - ou le non accès - aux différentes formes de crédit et d’épargne d’une catégorie de population qui se caractérise par un revenu modeste. .
