Abstract

[eng] Investment banks strategies. In the next decade, only half a dozen of investment banks will be global-sized firms. The others could only be content with niche positions. To suceed, firms will have to be careful on different criteria such as : expansion strategy, wage policy, firm culture, technology expertise, the brand image -which are key factors to determinate the interest that share holders, customers, and talents of the profession could find in the firm. The authors propose an analysis of the largest investment banks. This analysis indicates their strengths and the challenge they will have to take up.
