Abstract

[eng] This paper analyses the markets faced by industrial firms whose production is organised in « filières ». In each of the configurations considered, two types of decision have to be made by firms: the determination of the quantity to be produced and the sharing of the value added between the upstream and downstream firms. The analytical method used rests on experimental economics. The results reached by the paper do not match the ones usually derived from the standard microeconomic models. They can be interpreted in assuming that the agents observed are looking, more or less explicitly, for two kinds of objectives: an objective of global (or systemic) rationality of maximisation of the total value added on the one hand, and an objective of equity in the sharing of the value added on the other hand.
