Abstract

[eng] Several authors of the economics of contracts have been studying personnel management for a few years. This paper aims at taking stock of the way these economists analyze « governance devices of personnel ». First of all, we identify the trends in which the two main theories - i.e. the New Economics of Personnel and the transaction cost theory - that study these devices take root. Afterwards, we analyze their processes and finally stress their limits. Their normative dimension is viewed in an specific way.
