Abstract

[eng] This article aims at providing systematic insights into recent works devoted to the analysis of the consequences of innovation on the volume of employment. We intend less to provide a complete survey on this topic than to emphasise the importance of churning when analysing the dynamics of employment and the hypothesis of technical change. Firstly, we examine the importance of churning at the micro-economic level and then we analyse evidence from empirical studies in order to discuss the effect of technical change.
