Abstract

[eng] Informatisation is not just another version of the general tendency towards automation. The progressive introduction of information technology enable firms to adjust better to technical and economic environment changes. While flexibilite is essentially a reaction to high uncertainty situations it's consequences will probably last after the crisis is over. Flexibility is first analyzed in a microeconomic setting and is illustrated with the case of discontinuous production. Then overall implications are tempted in order to identify properties of a possible " variety " efficient growth regime.
